Briefing to the Brasilia-based Media

“Journey to Mount Everest and Beyond” is the theme of this event. Through the Expo, we aim to showcase the cultural aspects of Nepal to the Brazilian public, while strengthening
trade, investment, tourism and people to people relations between the two countries. The Embassy has been working alongside Brazilian counterparts to capitalise the potentials in
trade and tourism sectors for the common benefit. Key Nepali agencies from involved in the Expo are Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and Confederation of Nepali Industry (CNI). Senior executives from both organisations are traveling to Brasilia in connection with the Expo. During their stay in Brasilia, the senior executives of CNI and NTB will be making presentations in their respective areas competence and also be meeting with their respective counterparts in Brazil.
Several Brazilian agencies have supported the Embassy by various means in course of preparation. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (ITAMARATY), Ministry of Tourism,
International Relations Office of the District Federal Government (SERINTER), Tourism Office of the District Federal Government, Brazilian National Confederation of Industries
(CNI), Brazilian Tourism Board (EMBRATUR), Association of Travel Agencies-DF (ABAV-DF), Brasilia Convention and Visitor Bureau, among others. We have received goodwill from the Association of Journalists on Foreign Affairs in DF, through its President Madam Fabina Ceyhan towards our humble effort.
The Expo is being coordinated by Rock Siddhi Pvt. Ltd. from Nepal, and Aria Travel Intelligence from Brasilia. All entities mentioned above deserve sincere appreciation from
the Embassy team. During the Expo, exhibitors will showcase handicrafts, carpets, herbal products, pashmina, music, food, and tour packages. There will be altogether 25 stalls for this purpose.
